Ну вот аккаунты уже открываются на Directi – рекомендую всем сразу изменить пароли – сейчас входит с логином / паролем который был у эстов. Звонил сегодня на телефон указанный в контактах Estdomains (Штаты) по поводу рефанда (на тикет ответа так и нет) – там автоответчик – стучитесь в тикеты. Глухая стена… Потом ради интереса зашел на свой аккаунт на Fethard – а рефанд от Estdomains то там. В заблокированных. Ну хоть так закончилась история – я думал Estdomains просто передадут домены Directi и пропадут бесследно

Как и следовало ожидать – отдали Directi – они же ResellerClub. На реселлерский аккаунт, который у меня был на EstDomains пришло письмо

As you might be aware, EstDomains Inc will soon be de-accredited by ICANN and is awaiting its termination in lieu with the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA). The termination will be effective from the 24th November, after which EstDomains will cease its Registrar operations and we, ResellerClub, will be taking over their existing Domain Names and SSL Certificate operations.
We understand the unrest and uncertainty marring over Domain Names that are currently managed by EstDomains. However, you can rest assured that ALL Domain Names registered through EstDomains Inc are absolutely safe and will continue to function normally. We assure you that during the transition, your convenience will be our top-most priority.
EstDomains Inc was using LogicBoxes’ OrderBox Technology, which is also used by ResellerClub. This means that the transition will be fairly smooth, and you will also be able to manage your Reseller business from the same Control Panels.

Интересно то, что примерно за час до этого обнулился баланс на данном аккаунте – деньги с баланса никуда не пришли. Отписал саппорту EstDomains тикет – ждем-с ответа.

Update 22.11.08 Пришла дополнительная информация от ResellerClub – основное

Total Receipts: Your current Total Receipts with EstDomains will remain the same even after the migration. This Total Receipts figure will determine the Slab you fall under with ResellerClub.
Available Balance: Post the migration, your ‘available balance’ in your Reseller Account will be set to Zero. You will have to collect your refund from Estdomains by contacting them at support.estdomains.com. Previous Transactions: All your previous Transaction data will be removed from your Control Panel and archived separately. You can access this information in the future, the details of which will be given at a later date.

 

Managing Your Account
Account Details and Specifications: Your Account logins and various other settings like SuperSite/PartnerSite customization, custom integrated payment gateways, branding, nameservers etc will all remain the same.
Control Panel URLs: The Control Panel URL’s will be changing shortly to managecp.resellerclub.com. Once the change is made, we will send an announcement.

ICANN все таки будет закрывать Estdomains – читаем. Жаль …. 

На Армаде выложили отличный перевод обзора блогосферы от Technorati. Рекомендую прочитать его – особенно тем кто работает с блогами-сплогами – главное вдумываясь читать – местами указаны прямые указания – к примеру:

 Блоги с высоким статусом обычно обновляются чаще. В блогах из Топ 100 в июне 2008 года было в два раза больше постов, чем в следующих 500, и в 12 раз больше, чем следующие 5000.

А ведь гугл обожает блоги …. Читаем.

На днях провел анализ доменов которые использовались под дорвеи и были засуспендены (suspend). Основная масса – домены с не рабочим e-mail. Видимо отсылаются письма на данные e-mail и в ответ возращается что данного e-mail не существует. Не секрет - многие используют выдуманные адреса = фейковые (fake) – делайте их более-менее реальными, а не Вася Васильев из Урюпинска, и e-mail вставляйте реальный – рабочий – так хоть немного можно снизить риск суспенда доменов.

Отголоском финансового кризиса стало снижение многими кодек-партнерками стоимости инсталов – в среднем в 2 раза. Хммм – тенденция не радует…

По западным опросам – на 20% меньше пользователей стало производить покупки через Интернет – еще меньше радует это.

Как известно в США работает закон о запрете онлайн казино – 5–го ноября в правилах PayPal появилось новое правило:

You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:

«5. involve gambling, gaming and/or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize, including, but not limited to casino games, sports betting, horse or greyhound racing, lottery tickets, other ventures that facilitate gambling, games of skill (whether or not it is legally defined as a lottery) and sweepstakes unless the operator has obtained prior approval from PayPal and the operator and customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where such activities are permitted by law.»
